Reno County Community Wind Workshop
was Tuesday, August 21, 2007.

There are two opportunities to learn more about wind technology.

• On Friday, September 21st
  the Growth Coalition will host a bus tour to the Elk River wind farm from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Pete Ferrell, land owner and environmentalist will give us a guided tour. The cost is $35 per person and includes a buffet lunch at the Beaumont Hotel. During lunch we will continue the wind conversation with  Nancy Jackson from the Climate and Energy Project of the Land Institute. Space for lunch is limited to the first 45 people so email dorothy@renocountygrowth.com to reserve your spot. 
  
• On September 25th & 26th
  Wes Jackson, founder of The Land Institute, will be the featured keynote speaker at the Kansas Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Conference in Topeka. Wind Energy will be one of several topics discussed. According to Lt. Governor Mark Parkinson "Kansas is the place to be for renewable energy companies, development and production."
